About Our Author
Nancy E. Rewalt is a retired elementary teacher who taught for 23 years in Michigan’s public school system. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Michigan State University in elementary education.
Reading and writing children’s stories have been Nancy’s joy throughout the years. The idea for Aerial: A Spider’s Tale came to her one Halloween while she was thinking of a story to send to her daughter, Miss Rene’e Rewalt’s fourth grade class in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her students, as well as everyone else who read the story, loved it so much that Rewalt decided to publish it.
The author presently resides in Casco, Michigan with her husband, Ron, and son, Matthew.

About Our Illustrator
Darren Cranford grew up in Newfoundland, Canada, where he earned his Bachelor’s of Fine Arts at Memorial University, majoring in painting. He moved to Ontario, where he worked at a number of animation studios, before founding Keyframe Digital Productions Inc., an
animation studio specializing in 3D animation and visual effects for movies and television.
When not directing, Cranford continues his passion for illustrating children’s books. He says, “I draw inspiration from what the author has written and try to capture the expanded worlds these characters live in; not just illustrate the words verbatim. I want the reader to see the personality in the characters—to understand what they’re feeling.”
Cranford lives in Niagara Falls with wife, Michelle, and their three children, Tanner, Mason, and Logan.
